CLOSE (Close To The Earth)
Thanks to a project with the Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca, IMT has carried out a program to find a new Space Operational Zone, the VLEO orbits between 160 and 250 km of altitude.
There are three fundamental pillars for VLEO orbits:
- a new propulsion system (RAM ‐ EP)
- a new spacecraft capable of operating on these orbits
- innovative applications that use the peculiarity of VLEO orbits
